devote…to为什么to是介词

devote意为“致力于，献身于”，主要用devote…to…或be devoted to sth，其中的to是介词，不是不定式符号，故后接动词时要用动名词，不用不定式。例如:He devoted himself to teaching.或者 He was devoted to teaching.两个句子表达的意思相同:他致力于教学。
